About: The walk across the dam at Meldon gives many fascinating views. This area is described by the Dartmoor National Park Authority as: a good starting point for a visit to Black-a-Tor Copse and the highest point on Dartmoor namely High Willhayes.

About: Meldon Reservoir is not far from Okehampton and it is a good starting point for many rambles or walks across the moors. The dam itself was completed in 1972 and when crossing it visitors can enjoy views of the water spanning the West Okement Valley ......

About: All the sheep that we saw by the reservoir all had their distinctive markings or brands, this one was a fetching turquoise blue colour. There is plenty of car parking available at Meldon Reservoir although at nearly 900 ft above sea level with steep ......
