Place: Watcombe Cove And Valley Of The Rocks Category: Historic Size: Wallpaper Size About: A retired headmaster called Mr Allen recognised the importance of the red clay at Watcombe Cove and the Torquay Terracotta industry was begun. The Watcombe Pottery company traded from 1867 to 1901 manufacturing ornamental terracotta. From 1901 to 1962 a new company called The Royal Aller Vale and Watcombe Pottery took over the business.
