About: There are delightful views all around at Mount Batten and the area was once very popular with the Victorians and Edwardians from Plymouth who came across by ferry or boat. This came to a stop when the military took over and established an air base at Mount Batten and for eighty years public access was restricted. When RAF Mount Batten closed the place once again became a popular visitor attraction
