About: The village of Slapton is in a privileged position as it is only a short distance from Slapton Sands and Slapton Ley which is the largest natural freshwater lake in the South West of England. This lake is within a National Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of the habitat and the rare species which thrive in the unique conditions.
