Wreck Full of Sand
Place: Crow Point Category: Coastal Size: Wallpaper Size About: The wreck in the estuary at Crow Point was covered with a light film of fine sand which was blowing around everywhere on the day that we visited. No one seems sure how Crow Point got its name. One school of thought is that it came from the look-out, or crow’s nest, on a ship rather than the large black bird. Crow Point was an important look-out point for many years. Photograph Added: 15th August 2009 |
