About: During the seventeenth century Hatherleigh was involved in the wool trade and enjoyed great deal of prosperity. Perhaps this is the reason there are seven Inns in the town In 1693 a charter was granted by William and Mary for the Tuesday market which is still held today. The Tally Ho Inn is located on Market Street and all who enter are assured of a warm welcome
